How to use the ClariHooD Medical Research Pathway Assessment Tool (Clari-PAT)

1. Fill in the form

   Please answer the questions based on your real, current situation (not future plans). The tool asks about:

   • Education and field
   • Research experience and publications
   • Statistical skills and software
   • Language skills (English and Danish)
   • Practical factors such as GCP, host/supervisor status, and availability
   English test: If you do not have an official English test score, choose “None” and select your self-assessed level honestly.

2. Click “Calculate”

   The tool compares your answers with typical requirements, based on ClariHooD experience, for different medical research roles in Denmark.

3. Understand the results

   Best-fit pathway: The role that best matches your current profile among the pathways you are eligible for.

   Eligibility status:

   • ✅ Eligible now – You meet the minimum requirements and are competitive.
   • 🟡 Eligible, but needs strengthening – You meet the requirements but should improve some areas.
   • 🔴 Eligible but not competitive yet – You technically qualify, but important gaps exist.
   • ⛔ Not eligible – You do not currently meet the minimum requirements.

   Score: The score is a weighted estimate (0–100) based on multiple domains (education, research exposure, statistics/tools, publications, compliance, independence, and practical factors like host and time). Each pathway uses slightly different weights, because different roles prioritize different skills.

   Key notes / gaps: These explain why a pathway is strong or weak and what is missing (e.g. language level, statistics, publications, GCP, or host).

   References (basis of the tool): The criteria are based on common expectations seen in Danish universities, hospitals, and clinical research units, plus ClariHooD’s practical experience with job ads and application processes in Denmark. The tool is not an official admission or hiring standard.

4. Next steps

   For each pathway, the tool suggests practical next steps. By clicking “Ask ClariHooD about this result”, your assessment summary for the selected pathway is sent directly to ClariHooD by email, allowing us to review and advise you on the most effective way forward (e.g. roadmap planning, CV optimization, skills upskilling, or host outreach).
